Seminar 22 November 2011
Investing with the explicit intention of creating positive social or environmental impact while generating financial returns – commonly referred to as “impact investing” – is on the path to becoming a major force in the quest for a better world. Impact investing pioneers Charly and Lisa Kleissner, the founder of the SoCap conferences and the venture fund Good Capital, Kevin Jones, and Europe Director of the impact investing network Toniic, Tera Terpstra, shared their insights on recent developments within the impact investing field. You can see the Kleissners' presentation here.
During the seminar, Voxtra launched its first impact investing fund: the Voxtra East Africa Agribusiness Fund, which has recently closed with NOK 65 million in capital from Norfund and private investors. Erik Solheim, Norway's Minister of International Development, greeted the seminar and the launch of the Fund. You can see the presentation of the Fund here and the Minister's greeting here.
